Our standard prices for probate work are as follows:
To obtain a grant of probate if no inheritance tax is payable - £1,300 + VAT and disbursements.
To obtain a grant of probate if inheritance tax is payable from £2,000 + VAT and disbursements.
To administer an estate - 1.25% value of the gross estate, subject to a minimum of £2,500 plus VAT and disbursements.
Disbursements typically include:
Probate application fee - £264 (no VAT)
6 copies of the grant of probate (£9 no VAT)
Advertisement fee (local newspaper & London Gazette) £150 - £200 plus VAT.
